Mai-Tai shar-pei has been in existence and producing quality Shar-pei since early 1992 when we bought our first show prospect. We are a small but active show home and owner handle all our dogs. Temperament and health are uppermost in our dogs and we strive to produce healthy, beautiful, structurally and mentally sound dogs with a history of longevity behind them that will be suitable for both companion and show homes in both Brush and Horsecoats. We have produced a number of AKC and International champions and several International best in show dogs, as well as some very spoiled and loved companions, and are proud to own the 2000 CSPCA National specialty winners bitch.

2008 sees us adding a 2nd breed to show, the Chow Chow. After watching them ringside and researching them for a number of years we finally took the plunge and are smitten.

We breed only one or two litters a year to produce our next show prospects and we very carefully plan these breedings and research pedigrees. Occasionally we may also have a pick pup or an older puppy/young adult available.

All our puppies are born into a family atmosphere. They are handled from birth and go to their new homes well socialized, current on shots, crate trained and as potty trained as their age allows. Temperament is uppermost and our dogs must be both mentally and physically sound.

All our pets are sold on spay/neuter agreements, with an extensive health guarantee, and reservations are recommended. I am a member in good standing of the CSPCA since 1994 and the CSPCTB.
